Let's take a trip back in time....to 1987. I can fondly remember visiting the park every year around this time with my grandparents, parents, aunt and uncle and my three cousins. A lot of the stuff found in these videos brings back A LOT of memories!

Some things to point out in these videos:

-The old monorails (the last remaining one was sold in 2003 I think)
-The Botanical Gardens had statues of famous icons such as the Eiffel Tower and Big Ben.
-The Ball Pit where the pizza place is now.
-Old 99 (why did they ever have to remove this)
-The Log Boat ride (pre Dragon's Lair) which featured a windmill in place of the mountain that's currently there.
-The picnic groves scattered throughout the area where Turtle Whirl and Flying Trapeze now are located.
-The ice cream stand where the Potato Patch fry stand is now.
-The original park main entrance (I remember this as a kid and sort of wish it was still like that today)
-The entrance sign was originally located outside the monorail track along the perimeter of the parking lot. Not sure when they moved this to the inside of the track.
-Old costumed characters included a bear and a chicken, pre Duke the Dragon.
-The Flying Trapeze in its first of three spots (at the current location of the Joust).
-The old indian village (I have found memories of my grandfather and I hanging out here when I was little)
-No Sky Princess/Kingdom Coaster
-The original Giant Slide (now replaced with the two smaller Fun Slides)
