Oh thanks the only thing I could remotely think of was they used it as a guide for when puting the trains on. Is that currently on all the track or is that later? I don't think the tape worked much on fahrenheit

Maybe it's just the angle, but when I look at the pic, I think I could kick the wheels with my heels during the ride?

Maybe it's made to look like that. They might be trying to add a scare factor there affraid

I thought so but I wasn't 100% sure about it since they smoothed out the joints, not to get off topic do you think fahrenheit is a little bumpy in spots?

I had the chance to ride the ten inversion coaster coaster at Chime-Long paradise 3 years ago, and it was very bumpy. The cobra roll and corkscrews were the worst!

The trains look amazing by the way. There's absolutely nothing to them!

I can't spot any belts in the picture except the one that goes between legs. So if I'm not mistaken, the only restraint is going to be the lap bar, correct?

Ok maybe it is partly from expanding and contracting with temp. changes. The first time I rode fahrenheit I thought it was very bumpy for a steel coaster.

Is the creek now able to be drained whenever they want or do they have a temporary pump there. If it is then I am thinking that the ability to drain the creek whenever will be good b/c if they are expecting a lot of rain they could prevent another flood.

Thanks Walt love the the first pic showing the creek filled in that looks great!!! Love the lights they are installing along that path, when everything is done and the tree and grass start to grow in that's going to be one amazing looking area of the park.

Also glad to see that huge A$$ motor and working being done around it, shouldn't much longer before we see that cable!!!

To stormrunner they drained the creek to finish up the work that still needed to be done in those area's like Walt stated in his report above

Great photos, wizzard33, thank you! The creek all filled in there looks fantastic. And I think the reflections of the track in the water, especially when there are actual trains running, is going to make that whole area just pop. Can't imagine the photo opportunities that await us all from The Path, not to mention just standing there 10 feet below the track as a Skyrush train roars overhead!

If they have a controlled spillway on the dam (which apparently they do), it is a simple matter to lower the level of the water in the pond. They just open the gate(s) to divert the water around the fixed spillway crest.

Skyrush trains! So sweet....

Will the winged outer seats pivot and flare outward on turns? If so, trying to determine how and on what axis that will occur.

Thanks for posting them, thom25!

Interesting. But they are mostly over in Europe and think they're a bit jealous. I honestly think Skyrush is going to set the coaster world on fire in 2012 - It will not only be visually stricking, but will also deliver an amazing "perfect" ride experience given the new restraints.

I don't think this will be testing week Hersheycoaster14 because the lift cable is still not on-site or attached to the ride. I think it's going to be at least another week before we see this bad boy in action.

^Nice pic - glad to see the trains are starting to get assembled.

Great pics, HPCrazy. Love the colors of the trains. How many trains are there, two? Or 3, being one in the storage, and two running on the track?

They're not my pics, forgot to mention that they were provided by Kirk! Smile

Also I think there are only two trains.

Hey, look! The cable's going in! It looks like the return cable's done (on the right side) and now they're working on the main "pulling" cable.

i don't believe that it was the second train being added, instead it was the other half of the first because only 4 rows were on the track before and 4 more were added today, making it a completed first train not a second

Wow! Seeing the Skyrush train on the track.... gives me chills. Testing can't be too far away, I'd think. I have off work Thursday and Friday; would love to hear thru the rumor mill (here?!) that testing is ON and trains are running. I'd drop everything and be on-site in 20 minutes, lol! Can't wait!

Great pics -- thanks for posting!

Oh, wanted to mention this: On Sunday while on Fahrenheit, we saw 10+ water dummies hanging out below the station. Was cool seeing them up-close from the train while waiting to disembark. It's water dummies that will go on Skyrush first, right? Then the more-advanced dummy with all the sensors? So maybe this group of water dummies will soon find their way from Fahrenheit over to The Hollow. bounce

My son was wondering if we could volunteer as water dummies this week... affraid

I also saw those when I was there on Saturday. Yeah, perhaps they're saving them for when they test Skyrush's trains.
