That's a lot of steps to go up or down if there is a problem.

Tru that, so I'll patiently wait in my seat
Typically, most parks use the stairs only as a last resort. Having skied down slope as steep as Skyrush's lift, you need all those stairs to make the walk easier.

Yeah I would wait there too. That or go down wait for it to re-open and attempt to get the front row.

Re: Skyrush Official Discussion Thread
For those comparing this to a B&M Floorless, it looks like the outer seats here will stick an extra 8"-10" out beyond the track underneath. Oh, and with a floor under the middle seats.
The bigger difference to me is the lack of over-the-shoulder-restraints on the Intamin. We haven't seen anyone sitting in the seats yet, but it looks like there won't actually be anything over your shoulders or arms. It almost looks like Intamin had to offset the seats fore/aft and space them wider to allow for this new restraint design. Of course, only time will tell whether these seats are comfortable or whether they could ever be used on a coaster with inversions.

Pulling the trains thru at slow speeds is a lot better than sending them thru at full speed and it comming back with a dammaged or missing seat because it hit a tree that is too close

Re: Skyrush Official Discussion Thread
Great pics thanks for the update!!! Love seeing that gorgeous yellow track with the trees starting to fill in looks great!!! I'm also loving the looks of that partial Skyrush train on the track great preview.
Also shouldn't be much longer to see SDL new trains since they are getting the mag brakes on.

Couldn't agree more that things are looking great, coming together well, and Hershey really seems to be moving mountains to get the ride open on time.

Glad to see the pull-through! From what I've seen from other Intamin's pull-throughs, they usually pull the train forward through the course, but it seems they're working backwards with Skyrush. When I first saw the pictures, I thought, "Oh, they're almost done!" only to realize they were only starting out.

Probably maintenance workers giving it a test run.
I do agree about the partial train on the track. We'll definitely be there to keep you guys covered when they begin to conduct tests which should be very soon.

I would just like to say, on Sunday my family and I will be going to Hersheyparks National Guard Day event on Sunday. The park IS closed to the public, being it will just be military ID holders and The Cheerleader Comp. I'm expecting to be able to walk onto the rides, so it should be interesting. Can't wait!

is it the way the perception of the camera was or are the seat unsymmetrical/uncentered?

I agree that it's just the angle of the camera. From this angle it looks like the rails of the track are off center from the spine as well - which we know is not the case!

Re: Skyrush Official Discussion Thread
It depends if it's storming or not. If it's just normal rain(no lightning) most rides will stay open. If it's a thunderstorm, they'll close nearly all the rides down until the storm is a safe distance away, and cleared by maintenance. It depends how fast the storm moves and any damage that may of happened(depending on storm intensity) It's really hard to say a time it takes, because every situation is different.
Re: Skyrush Official Discussion Thread
According to the weather for Sunday, April 22 do you think most rides will be closed?

I think the bigger rides will be off and on all day. Same with the smaller ones. Storm Runner especially will be closed all day.

Re: Skyrush Official Discussion Thread
I take that back! We ended up going on Sunday, and finally got to ride Fahrenheit and such! There was absolutely NO lines for any ride. As a matter of fact, the ride operators were allowing us to double, triple, and quadruple ride! These girls were on great bear 6 times in a row too! I rode fahrenheit twice, and everything else except Stormrunner(closed) in under 1 hour. Usually a full day of riding done in 50 minutes was amazing! Can't wait for skyrush. Talking about skyrush, the pull through cart was still left from where it was on Saturday, so nothin really new minus I saw that skyrushes transfer track was switched to the maintence shed.. I ignored the rain the whole time

Have you seen the video of the two rows of the car freely going through the track? I bet lines for Skyrush will be nothing like Hershey has seen before.
