Expedition Everest and the Animal Kingdom in general

Given the cost of Expedition Everest at $50 million, I was very disappointed in the coaster experience. The theming of course is second to none, but as a coaster, it was like a hyper mine ride. Could it have been the time of day I went? Does it provide different ride experiences based on the weather, or is it all pretty much controlled throughout?

When I rode Expedition Everest I thought it was a pretty good Coaster. It is definitely Vekoma's best attraction. The themeing was great (one of the best themed Coasters I ever rode). The ride layout was okay though. I also rode it when it was hot and sunny.

Also The last time I rode was when it first opened - so it may not be as great now...

Yup, I agree it was pretty good, with amazing theming. I just expected more given the price tag. Has anyone ridden it more recently, maybe it's better now that it's broken in.

I think this is a pretty good coaster as well. It's designed more with the families in mind so you won't find "major" intensity throughout the ride versus something like Storm Runner. But I think they did a fabulous job with it and I'll continue to ride on my future WDW vacations.
