Journey Into Imagination - The Second Floor
I just found this interesting video showing off the second floor of the Imagination Pavilion in Future World at Epcot:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=udddtDRxS_Q
This area was part of the original Imageworks that was open as part of the "original" Journey Into Imagination that hosted both the Dreamfinder and Figment from 1982-1998. I remember this area very well as a kid and checking out all the cool interactive exhibits. Some of the exhibits included the Rainbow Corridor, the Stepping Tones on the floor, the huge Pin Tables, the Dreamfinder's School of Drama, the Klidescopes, and much more.
When the pavilion was made over, beginning in late 1998, the original ride and Imageworks were closed. The Imageworks moved to the first floor and re-opened as the Kodak "What If" Labs in late 1999 when Disney launched the Millennium Celebration. Since this time, the ride has been renovated again, this time to the current "Journey Into Imagination with Figment" version, and Kodak ended its sponsorship of the pavilion.
Enjoy this look into a piece of Epcot's history!
