What new coaster from a Coaster Company do you want to see SFMM get in 2013 - 2014?
2013 - 2014, What's in store?
If you guys noticed, SFMM posted a new "Go Big!" video and at the end the chick says, "In 2013, I want to look like that!" and is standing in front of a Wonder Woman sign... could the new ride be yet ANOTHER superhero ride? Or will this new coaster have nothing to do with that at all and replace Log Jammer?!?! Keep a lookout!!

I am hoping for the rumored Giga or Strata Coaster built the biggest coaster in the US.

Me too, I heard a dive machine is planned to take Deja Vu's spot and if that doesn't happen, a giga will take Log Jammer's spot...Keep a lookout!

Re: 2013 - 2014, What's in store?
I've never been to the Mountain but have seen plenty of maps depicting the park's layout and where Log Jammer was located. How would they fit a Giga in that space, unless it's similar to I-305's layout.

Re: 2013 - 2014, What's in store?
I have been to SFMM and it would be interesting seeing a Giga Coaster. There line up is mostly looping Coasters and they should stear away from an inverting Coaster for 2013. I also think they are going to try and get another 'worlds first' and also be in competition to Cedar Points 2013 Coaster.
Re: 2013 - 2014, What's in store?
UPDATE from Screamscape... I want to believe... :
Now that's something!2014-2015 - Colossus Refurbishment - (1/30/12) It’s a bit early to lock down this project, but I’m hearing that after The Rattler, Colossus may indeed be the next Six Flags coaster to get a major overhaul from Rocky Mountain Coasters. Look for this in either 2014 or 2015 and I’ll leave you with this little tidbit... if the rumors I’m hearing are true, the name Colossus may mean something to the world once again.

Re: 2013 - 2014, What's in store?
Don't read to much into that go big cam it has nothing to do with 2013, SFMM is not naming their Giga coaster Wonder Woman lol
Also Log Jammers area is huge the trees are hiding a lot of the useable land in the area, once they clear it out a bit they can easily put something bigger then i305 there. They can also use the tunnel through the mountain that the monrail use to travel through. Which would give them even more room to build something huge.
Far as Colossus I'm hearing it's just the topper track not a complete re-do like Texas Giant guess well have to wait and see. Also the Dive Machine rumor has been around since like Oblivion@AT lol there was even claims of it being placed in Deja Vu's spot painted all blacked and named Shockwave as a throwback to the Intamin stand up coaster that use to call that spot home.

I forgot that the Metro went "through" the mountain. Isn't the track still there? I know Hershey had wanted to buy it along with everything else that they had bought but to carefully cut up and ship it here, it would've been too costly. Perhaps if the old Metro track is removed, they'll consider using the tunnel as an option.

Here a little construction video posted by SFMM Crazy Productions to SFMM Facebook page. It's shows Log Jammer DE-construction has started, the Metro Monorail station is gone, the new employee cafeteria up on samurai summit, and construction walls put up in the area for Lex Luther constrution

Re: 2013 - 2014, What's in store?
I'm pretty sure LL:DOD will go up fast, with the boards up. The only con will be the movement of the employee lunch facility

Re: 2013 - 2014, What's in store?
If my calculations are correct, there is a lot of room in the Colossus County Fair area by the Colossus' entrance, and I can see the employee lunch area going in there
Now to stay on topic, I could see a Star Flyer (Sky Screamer) going in the Colossus County Fair area as well, and would do VERY good with the themeing... Anyone else agree?

Re: 2013 - 2014, What's in store?
Hmm. Now that you mention it, yes, I think that would work well in that area. Seeing the park map and images of the park and that area, I think A Sky Screamer would work well.
Re: 2013 - 2014, What's in store?
It would also fit PERFECTLY by the entrance to Scream (next to The Magic Moments Theater) and would go along with the themeing of a "County Fair"...

What 2013 WON'T bring...
Screamscape confirms:
Too Bad.. I really wanted to see a Dive Machine take something's place...
2013 - New Coaster - (2/10/12) It’s still a bit too early to lock in anything for the SFMM 2013 project just yet, but with demolition fully under way, what we have heard so far is what it wont be. Screamscape sources confirm that this is not expected to be a B&M coaster of any kind, so throw out all those long rumored Dive Machine rumors that have been brewing forever. (Which is just disappointing, the terrain of the Log Jammer site would have made for a great themed Dive Machine...)

Possibly a Wingrider? It seems like they like to hold the status of being an "X-treme Park" and such a ride would be a great fit.

They already have 2 fourth dimensional coasters... why add another one? The possible rumor is that Log Jammer's place will be taken by an Itamin giga or an Aquatrax (the first in the country if it were to happen)... I would like something that has to do with Itamin though!

Forgot about X-2, thanks for bringing that up. The other winged coaster, would that be Green Lantern because that's considered a ZacSpin.

Yes, it's a ZacSpin but the train does not run on the track, but on the sides, which makes it a 4th dimensional coaster

Update
A little something was posted over at Theme Park Review over the weekend..
Just got back from the park. They made quite a bit of progress on the log jammer area. It's looking a lot bigger of an area than I imagined. They cleared the old mono station completely and flattened it out. It also looked like they dug into the steep terrains in the very back of the LJ spot near gold rusher to make it more flat

^^ Yup! To be honest I think this is the earliest SFMM has started clearing for an attraction that could arrive next year... I really hope it's worth the name of an SFMM coaster, because if not, I'll be even MORE disappointed they removed Log Jammer in the first place...

Well Like I said before, possible rumors are that they could be getting an Aquatrax (a water coaster, and if it happened it would be the countries first), so if this is true, it would be a coaster the whole family could enjoy even Coaster enthusiastists...

This also probably explains why they finally sold the old Metro trains to Hershey. Demolishing one of the stations for it is an indicator in the progress of this future attraction.

They had the ride "standing but not operating" since 2001 but now I'm thinking they finally buckled down to get rid of it since they had this expansion in their plans. Seems like the perfect timing since Hershey purchased the old trains and moved them back east.

Looks like cut out a section of the monorail beam. Most likely will be going out for scrap since that was the only thing that Hershey hasn't purchased from them.

Re: 2013 - 2014, What's in store?
Here's a video update of whats going on at SFMM provided by the Coaster Guy. So far Log Jammer is pretty much gone and has revealed just how much land SFMM has to work with for the 2013 attraction. Also heavy machinery is at the base of S:EFK for the start of Lex Luther construction, looks like they're just moving dirt around the base area. So far no Lex Luther rides parts has shown up but are expected to arrive at anytime now. Anyways on to the video SFMM construction update

Re: 2013 - 2014, What's in store?
Sorry for the double post... but I can not see any such bumper sticker what ISCO in TPRs world spells Aquatrax??? and two if there is something on there that says aquatrax 9 times out of 10 it's referring to the trax the tractor is running on.
Imo people are taking this obsession with an Aquatrax over at that site way to far you can't even mention a new coaster over there without someone saying aquatrax. It was funny at one time now it's just down right stupid and annoying!!!
If it turns out to be an Aquatrax then so be it, but I will pray it never happens just b/c those people at Site we are better than refuse to STFU up about!!!

That would be a hell of a lot of flatrides to fill that area, not saying the park doesn't need them though.
Also I edited my post 3 times thinking it was something I was doing wrong before I realized there's a word filter for that SITE!!!

Re: 2013 - 2014, What's in store?
Well here is a smaller update then I had planned, I like a dumb ass didn't bring fresh batteries for my camera and it died. I used my cell to snap up a few pics before it too died Don't worry there isn't much going on to see yet I do have a season pass and will provide more updates in the future as construction progress.
ok first off here some log jammer clearing they've made up all the way up to the tunnel and all the monorail track has been removed up to the tunnel through the mountain.
On Lex Luther nothing is really going beside the gutter of some old shops that will be used as part of the que. No ride parts are anywhere I could see and they have walls up all around the site making it very hard to see into the site.
I did take a quick peek behind one of the wall but didn't get a very good shot, but what I could see was nothing major was going on beside just some work truck on site
Here's a couple shots of Thrill Shots area since it's been removed
Here's a video of the log jammer site posted by The Coaster Guy https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=ERqFNUUH47c#!

Magic Mountain doing work! Now if Knott's showed life of the possibility of a coaster.... -___-
Re: 2013 - 2014, What's in store?
I think they will because the last new attractions were Sierra Sidewinder, Pony Express, and Windseeker. If they want to compete with SFMM they will never win with Silver Bullet and Xcelerator as kings of the park.
Now back to SFMM, I'm not going towards wing, but more of a similar coaster to Maverick? At least that's what I think is best

Re: 2013 - 2014, What's in store?
Maybe a bigger longer version of TH13TEEN? (Or however the technical spelling is) :p
Re: 2013 - 2014, What's in store?
Ok, so now that the Bash is over, and continuing the discussion from the Lex Luther thread, we've heard it will be long, expensive, not have a lift, and a world record holder, what are the predictions?
I read over at the other thread the ride would have a $50m price tag. Is that a rumor or was it mentioned during the Q&A? That's the same as SD2K. I think separating fact from rumor is a good place to start, so any "facts" at this point would be a good starting point.
Using the hill, maybe they could build a strata and claim the most rides over 400 feet. Using the tunnel would certainly be an ideal launch area imo.
There was a mention on the other thread that the ride would be a multi launch. For the life of me, I don't get the fascination with this concept. If the ride length is 6k feet, that's in the giga range vs multi launch, though either ride concept would work with the length.
I guess what I'm asking since I live on the East Coast is what is the best guess at this point from our West Coast contributors?
